I never ask for much...

...but fake blood. The best is when you let the video load and fail then wait for the reload. I just got back from Uruguay and I'm all for many failures. So play these things slow. Drink you mate and glow. But don't be afraid to highlight the invisible text.

Spanish Pole-Dancing and Doma: Type 1

I've been living in Buenos Aires since September. Understandably, the culture is wearing off on my a bit. If there's nothing better than fine beef in a sexy city, it's the presence horses in the middle of a metropolis. I've abandoned the poetic pursuit of the gaucho in the city so far. No chap-clad cowboys police these streets, whip in one hand, mate in the other. The horses I've seen tramping through Palermo have generally been towing garbage wagons. But the drivers do drink mate.

Here's a haphazard synthesis of tradition. The video is of some traditional Spanish pole-dancing between man and horse. And you thought you only saw this type of shit in Mexico.) The music is Swedish house. Go figure.

Cheese rewards, one year old.

Planes crash. And I categorize it, historicize it. That's my local blog moment.

Nightscape Rider.

I recently got the idea for a new project. It involves blinking lights from rooftop vistas. Let this be a lesson. (Please please don't listen to the video soundtrack. Mine's much bettter.)

Apparatently.

Here's one of the best music videos I've ever seen. If you play the track over the video and fade the video track into the other one, your ears will bleed rainbows.

Giorgio Moroder.

Giorgio is the godfather of disco in a number of ways, but he could probably be better described as disco's stepfather. Early in disco's adolescence, this mustachioed Italian dipped in, fucked its mother, and sent disco to therapy. Here he is. The mastermind behind the Neverending Story soundtrack (oh yes), and my new hero. Nothing more to say. Just watch the video.

This week I flew across the continent.

Suddenly, it's all up-down. In San Francisco with all the hills, I've kind of forgotten how much topography really fucks with you. I welcome the variable weather, the light-hearted bums, and the fine, strong beer. (Thanks go to Samuel for the tip on the video, by the way.)

Let's go snowmobiling.

As summer sinks in, I'm thinking of taking some trips to other hemispheres. I hear the south is just stunning.

Minimal Realism.

There's something about seeing giants on screen that makes me with I could've had a camera and a bag of fruit snacks in France around 1786. Don't ask me why. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in trying to figure shit out. So again. It's best to play the track and watch the video at the same time.

Gunner likes to party.

Play track. Play video. Full screen. Same time. Watch.
